I've been asked to make an example on how to obtain SMART data in 32-bit protected mode DOS on AHCI systems. So here it is. First SATA drives are detected. Then a SMART status is run on the first detected drive. The source code compiles under a recent version of WATCOM C++ (1.9 or higher).
